    Salary: £32,046 per annum

    Location: Based at Gadbrook Park, Northwich. Working across various locations within Cheshire.

    The Opportunity

    Weaver Vale Housing Trust has 4 exciting opportunities for people who are looking to develop their career with a great company.  We are looking for friendly, driven and diligent Advanced Multi-Skilled Operatives to join our Voids and Repairs teams. We have over 6000 properties, which are maintained using our in-house trade teams and are therefore seeking experienced trades persons with a multi-discipline background. The successful candidates will work full time, on a permanent basis, across our Property Services team.

    What Will You Do?

    As an Advanced Multi-Skilled Operative at Weaver Vale Housing Trust, you will carry out a range of planned, cyclical, void and responsive repair works. It would be an advantage to be competent in all aspects of building maintenance with a recognised qualification. You will be expected to work safely, following specific guidelines, assessing risk, and maintaining the completion of on-going health and safety training.

    These exciting roles will provide opportunities to work within the full range of Weaver Vale Housing Trust’s stock, helping transform homes and services to improve the quality of life for our customers.

    The working week is 40 hours, and these hours will be worked between 8.30am and 5.00pm. In addition, you will be required to participate on the out of hours callout rota, an additional out of hours payment of £240 a week will be paid for the weeks you are on call out.

    Requirements For This Role*

      • Completed a recognised trade apprenticeship to City and Guilds, NVQ or equivalent qualification standard.
      • Willingness to undertake further qualifications in areas such as health and safety and general management.
      • Working in domestic or commercial environment for building works
      • Good knowledge of best working health and safety practices and legislation including CDM.
      • Detailed understanding of relevant building regulations, legislation and standards


    Due to the nature of the role, a full current driving license is essential.  The role will also require the successful candidate to undergo a DBS check.
